About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurofibromatosis Specialist Adviser to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a part-time specialist nurse, you will be working closely with individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis types 1 and 2 in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support, information, and advice to individuals and families with neurofibromatosis or at risk of it.
  • Work alongside our existing NF Specialist Adviser and collaborate with Consultant Clinical Geneticists specializing in these conditions.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Travel to various locations, including clinic venues, schools, and patients' homes, as needed.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of neurofibromatosis management and its related complexities.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and in community settings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
What We Offer
