Traditional Music Administrator Wanted:

We are seeking a highly skilled Traditional Music Administrator to join our team at The Journal of Music. As an integral part of our festival production, you will be responsible for supporting the festival team in all aspects of event production, including event schedules, staffing, and artist liaison.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a range of festivals and events, including St. Patrick's Music Weekend and Belfast TradFest. You will be working closely with the Festival Producer and other members of the team to ensure seamless delivery of these events.

Key responsibilities include: event planning and coordination, artist liaison, venue management, and stage management operations. You will also be required to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent administration and organisational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the festival team in all aspects of event production
  • Coordinate event schedules and staffing
  • Liaise with artists and venues
  • Manage event costings and pre & post show documentation
  • Provide administrative support to the festival team

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification (degree or diploma) or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confidence in contacting festival partners and supporters by phone and email
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Google software
  • Able and willing to work unsocial hours during busy periods
  • Good knowledge of traditional music and experience in festival administration or event management

Salary and Benefits:
