Job Title: Festival Coordinator

Belfast TradFest and Summer School of Traditional Music are seeking a dedicated individual to support the festival team in organizing live music festivals and events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting event production, including scheduling, staffing, artist liaison, and administrative duties. They will also liaise with music venues on concert schedules and technical requirements, arrange musician travel, meals, and accommodation, and support stage and venue set-ups. Additionally, they will manage stage operations throughout festival programmes, act as the main onsite point of contact between artists and venues, and support the management of the festivals Volunteer team. The role also involves administering the festival's main email account and providing administration support to Artistic Director, Festival Producer, and Marketing Officer. Furthermore, the successful candidate will assist with marketing, social media, and website development, and offer box office support to the team and public.

The ideal candidate will have a third-level qualification or equivalent, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent administration, record-keeping, and organizational skills. They will also have confidence in contacting festival partners and supporters by phone and email, familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google software, and the ability to work unsocial hours during busy periods. Good knowledge of and passion for traditional music is also essential, as is previous experience in festival administration, event management, or production.
