Psychoanalytic Researcher

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £19,000 per year, in addition to full tuition fees for three years. This generous package allows you to focus on your research without financial burden.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting analytical projects using Kleinian and British Independent psychoanalytic traditions. Your work may involve textual analysis or psychosocial studies methodologies, with a focus on examining film, art, literature, or music from an emotional and unconscious perspective.

Your research may explore topics such as:

• Textual analysis of film, art, literature, or music using Kleinian and/or British Independent psychoanalytic thinking.
• Analysis of references to cultural objects in clinical writing within the Kleinian and/or British Independent traditions of psychoanalysis.
• Investigation of unconscious processes when audiences engage with film, art, literature, or music.
• Analysis of psychoanalysts' engagement with cultural objects in private lives and implications for clinical practice.
• Analysis of visitors' experience with cultural spaces such as art galleries, cinemas, concert halls, or museums.

To be successful in this role, you will need a PhD in a relevant field and a strong background in psychoanalysis and culture. Your research experience and analytical skills will also be highly valued.
