Help Desk Engineer

Techworker, a leading IT consulting firm in London, is hiring an experienced Help Desk Engineer to join their team. As a Help Desk Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional IT support services to our clients.
About the JobThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. You will be responsible for responding to incoming IT support requests, documenting incidents and solutions, and providing training and guidance to users on IT-related tasks and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Document all incidents, problems, and solutions to maintain accurate records.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, providing technical support in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
- A strong understanding of networking principles, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN concepts.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified are desirable.
