About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist to join our team in the Cardiothoracic Radiology Service at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest clinical standards in imaging to support the management of cardiothoracic patients.
  • Share with colleagues the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Cardiothoracic Radiology Service and the running of relevant MDTs.
  • Teach and train junior staff, Medical Students, and Radiographers.
  • Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
  • Ensure active participation in continuing medical education (CME).

Person Specification
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) in Radiology at time of interview.
  • Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent.
  • FRCR or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualification in another specialty (e.g. MRCP).
  • Higher Degree (e.g. MSc, MD, PhD).
  • Expertise in CT guided and pericardial thoracic interventions.
  • Nuclear cardiology and lung oncology reporting including MIBI and Lung oncology PET.
