Position Overview

We invite applications for the role of Senior Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This position is part of a comprehensive CESR preparation programme designed for those pursuing equivalence in Anaesthesia.

Role Responsibilities

The Anaesthetic Department at our institution provides expert services across various surgical specialties. Our facilities include a significant number of operating theatres, catering to a wide range of complex procedures including orthopaedic, plastic, and cancer surgeries. We are recognized as a tertiary referral center for Neurosciences, Transplantation, and Complex Obstetrics.

This fellowship program spans three years and is tailored for candidates aiming to achieve CESR equivalence. It offers a structured rotation through diverse anaesthetic modules, ensuring the acquisition of necessary evidence for a successful CESR application. Areas of focus include Neuroanaesthesia, Paediatric Anaesthesia, Pain Management, Intensive Care Medicine, and Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia.

Our program collaborates with additional training sites, providing a broad exposure to various clinical environments. The final two years will be spent at Cambridge University Hospitals, where fellows will consolidate their skills and knowledge.

Upon completion of the program, successful candidates will be well-prepared to submit their CESR applications and may also be eligible for Senior Clinical Fellow positions while awaiting GMC processing.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication within the clinical setting.

We welcome applications from individuals requiring skilled worker sponsorship, and all applications will be evaluated fairly.
