Cardiothoracic Imaging Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking skilled cardio-thoracic imaging specialists to become part of our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management and enhancement of our specialized imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
The selected individual will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to our patients and stakeholders. Candidates should exhibit flexibility, organizational skills, and a professional demeanor.
To qualify for this position, applicants must demonstrate proficiency and experience in at least one of the following areas: cardiac catheterization labs, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, or cardiac computed tomography. Familiarity with computed tomography, stress testing, and interventional procedures is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be expected to rotate through a minimum of two specialized modalities upon completion of training and participate in after-hours duties.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiography (or equivalent) with specialized training at a master’s level or equivalent experience.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Essential Experience
- Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of standard imaging techniques.
- Proficiency in basic and specialized radiographic skills in at least one of the following areas: Angiography, CT, MRI.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and Ionising Radiation Regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative team player committed to achieving team and service objectives.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing initiative.
- Openness to embracing changes in service development.
Desirable Experience
- Skills in intravenous cannulation.
- Competence in basic and specialized radiographic skills in at least two of the following areas: Angiography, CT, MRI.
- Willingness to participate in the department's after-hours rota.
