About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Outpatient Booking Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Outpatient Management Team in delivering a consistent and coordinated approach to the operational management of outpatient services.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate levels of training and supervision.
  • Update relevant computerized booking systems for clinic maintenance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage appointment capacity and monitor patient appointment timeliness and utilization of cancelled appointments.
  • Manage the booking team on a day-to-day basis, implementing changes to ensure a clear operational streamlined approach.
  • Follow Trust Policies regarding patient information, storage of case notes, and tracking procedures.

Requirements
  • NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 4 or 5
  • Foundation degree or equivalent
  • Previous team leader experience
  • Experience of clinic scheduling and management of clinic changes
  • Experience of instructing/training others
  • Committed to developing individual staff and teams
  • Experience managing administrative services in an NHS setting
