Curatorial Assistant

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on exhibitions and projects within a gallery or museum environment, and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks, often working under tight deadlines.
Key ResponsibilitiesExhibition Coordination:
- Liaising with artists to understand their expectations for the exhibition and implementing these in collaboration with the Artist Liaison.
- Creating digital renderings of galleries for internal and artist reference.
- Preparing models for artists to assist with placement of works.
- Drafting installation schedules.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers to ensure show-change requirements are met.
- Coordinating with shippers, Registrars, and Warehouse to book transport and organize local shipments for show-change.
- Working with the Warehouse/Registrars on the return of works post-exhibition and local/long-term storage.
- Managing technicians during exhibition installation.
- Supporting Fabrication Coordinators on fabrication projects as needed.
- Overseeing fabrication projects, including liaising with artists on expectations and requirements, and ensuring these are met by fabricators and suppliers.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaising with the Warehouse Manager, Registrars, and Artist Liaisons regarding storage, collection, and movement of selected artist works (occasionally with external storage companies as necessary).
