About Our Team
Mears is a leading provider of social housing services, dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Welfare Support Officer to join our team in providing essential support services to families under the Afghan Resettlement and Assistance Policy.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering integration support services to occupants in transit estates, providing safeguarding and welfare support to service users, and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver integration support services to occupants in transit estates
- Provide safeguarding and welfare support to service users
- Maintain accurate records and update them as necessary
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, local authorities, and service users
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable client groups
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Ability to identify individuals' and families' support needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving license
What We Offer:
- Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum
