Community Welfare and Support Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welfare Support Officer to join our team in providing essential support services to families under the Afghan Resettlement and Assistance Policy. As a Welfare Support Officer with Mears, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of service users, including monitoring their support needs, providing practical and emotional support, and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
Job Description:
- Deliver integration support services to occupants in transit estates
- Provide safeguarding and welfare support to service users
- Maintain accurate records and update them as necessary
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, local authorities, and service users
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable client groups
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
- Ability to identify individuals' and families' support needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving license
