Specialist Support Worker for Children with Complex Needs

Job Description:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in our primary school in Northfield, Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school environment or preschool setting and be able to support children with complex needs.
The role involves working 1:1 with a child with ASD and supporting them in their daily activities. You will be part of a supportive team and work closely with the SLT and SENCO to ensure the child receives the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting children with complex needs in a 1:1 setting
- Assisting with daily activities such as meal times and personal care
- Working collaboratively with the teaching staff and other support workers to achieve the best outcomes for the child
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school environment or preschool setting
- Ability to work 1:1 with a child with complex needs
- Understanding of EYFS framework/Key Stage One
- TA qualifications or relevant degree
- Ability to work as part of a team
