About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Special Schools team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have learning or physical difficulties, including Autism, and be proficient in using Makaton signing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage the speech, language, and communication needs of children attending special schools in Warwickshire
  • Exercise full responsibility and autonomy for a complex caseload of children with special needs aged 4-19 years
  • Develop and implement individual management plans based on assessment findings and case history
  • Provide therapeutic intervention with children individually or in groups
  • Supervise and support speech and language therapy assistants

Requirements:

  • A recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent
  • Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
  • Health Professionals Council Registration
  • Evidence of successful completion of Specialist short courses related to children with communication difficulties

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
