Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom NHS Full time
About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead our project supporting children in care. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a communication strategy in partnership with local authorities and healthcare services.

Your expertise in speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) will be invaluable in supporting this vulnerable group. You will work autonomously, leading a team of therapists and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery.

The successful candidate will have significant experience working with children with SLCN, including those with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. You will be highly self-motivated, able to work with qualitative and quantitative data, and provide project reports.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a communication strategy for children in care, focusing on direct treatment, interventions, and community capacity building.
  • Provide supervision to other Speech and Language Therapists working with children with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Liaise with service leads and key professionals to ensure joint agreement on service priorities and support models of service delivery.

We offer a competitive salary of £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata.
