Occupational Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Specialist to join our team within the Acute Medicine department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
About the RoleThis specialist will work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team, utilizing their expertise to provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding caseload.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high-quality Occupational Therapy service, ensuring compliance with Care Quality Standards and the COT professional standards. They will also assist in the leadership, management, supervision, and appraisal of OT staff within the speciality.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert Occupational Therapy services to patients within the Acute Medicine department
- Develop and maintain a high-quality Occupational Therapy service, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines
- Assist in the leadership, management, supervision, and appraisal of OT staff within the speciality
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Occupational Therapy strategies and initiatives
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
- State registration with the Health Care Professions Council
- Postgraduate experience/training in clinical speciality
- Accredited Fieldwork Educator status
The salary for this role is £38,890 - £53,220 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
