Museum Asset Manager

The British Museum seeks a Digital Collections Coordinator to support the Africa, Oceania and the Americas department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain digital repository integrity and accuracy;
- Support grantees in preparing and submitting material for ingest;
- Develop and implement strategies for disseminating project results;
- Coordinate EMKP events, including training and meetings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure data ingest meets EMKP repository requirements;
- Provide expert guidance on material culture anthropology and research;
- Support successful grantees in delivering documentation projects;
- Develop original content for public digital platforms;
- Deliver grant-related events and manage logistics;
- Assist grantees in accessing Museum assets;
- Contribute to the day-to-day running of the EMKP programme.
**Person Specification:**
- Education: BA/BSc (or equivalent) in digital humanities, anthropology, archaeology, or other relevant degree;
- Technical skills: familiarity with digital asset management and public dissemination;
- Work experience: experience working in a museum or library, digital collections;
- Interpersonal skills: open, effective communicator with good spoken and written English.
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum. This role offers a great opportunity to work with unique materials and contribute to the development of the Endangered Material Knowledge Programme.
