About the Role

This position involves designing an annual calendar of high-quality events for Supporters and Members, ensuring best use of resources to make Supporters feel valued. Members and Supporters enjoy benefits including access to free out of hours events, which help retain existing Members' loyalty, and booking events for an additional charge, generating income for the Museum. The Membership and Supporter Events Manager is responsible for developing, delivering, and managing the Members' events programme.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • To take responsibility for all Member events, including designing a hybrid event programme that retains, recruits, and engages Members, delivering income targets, and managing the budget for Membership events.
  • To support the Museum's Patrons programme and the stewardship of wider Supporters by working with the central Events team to plan and execute on-site events, ensuring copy for Patron and Supporter events is available for inclusion in printed and e-communications.
  • Additional responsibilities include managing staff, representing the Membership team at meetings, and supporting the Membership and Supporter Engagement Manager with other projects.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing large and small events, be highly organised and creative, with excellent planning skills, and a strong understanding of event design, development, delivery, and review.
