Job Overview

This part-time Community Sensory Worker role is an excellent opportunity to join our team in Powys, Mid Wales. You will provide high-quality support to individuals with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and/or learning disabilities, helping them live the life they want and experience the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
• Accompany individuals on appointments, shopping trips, and community activities
• Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet individual needs and preferences
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and services
• Travel around Powys and Mid Wales using your own vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
• Contribute to service planning, monitoring, and evaluation to improve outcomes for individuals supported

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license and use of your own vehicle
  • BSL skills or willingness to learn
  • Experience working with individuals with sensory impairments and/or complex disabilities
  • Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments/learning difficulties (desired)
