About the Role


We are seeking a Specialist Support Worker to join our Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs in Llandrindod Wells. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to individuals with varying levels of need.



Salary and Benefits


The salary for this role is £27,653 - £28,069 per annum, including sleeps. Overtime is available, offering additional income opportunities. A variety of shifts, including optional sleeps and weekends, will be required.



Job Description


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you must:



  • Be resilient and able to cope with challenging situations.
  • Have a valid driver's license, as driving is essential due to the location.
  • Be willing to provide personal care as required.
