Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to join our established HSQE department. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement effective health and safety strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for Health and Safety to advance their career in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have attained or be working towards an industry-recognized qualification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and practical application of Health & Safety regulations and standards.
The role involves assisting with Health and Safety matters, including liaison with national safety, regulatory, and enforcement bodies. You will also support the review, development, and implementation of Risk Assessments, Non-Conformances, and Method Statements. A strong presence around the Port and assisting managers/supervisors on the implementation of H&S procedures and actions is essential.
An attractive remuneration package is offered, including a competitive salary (approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum), pension, holiday, medical cover, and bonus arrangements.
In this role, you will attend Health and Safety management meetings and help implement existing and new legislation. You will also assist in the development of methods statements, risk assessments, and non-conformances. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and experience in Health and Safety and contribute to the success of our organization.
