About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Transportation Specialist to join our team at EMED Group, specializing in secure mental health transportation. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and transportation services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting service users between various locations, including hospitals, homes, and prisons, while ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the journey. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with patients who may be experiencing challenging behaviors or mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport service users to and from healthcare facilities, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist patients with lifting, securing, and moving them in and out of the ambulance.
  • Work collaboratively with hospital staff, police, and other professionals to ensure seamless transfer of service users.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy environment within the ambulance at all times.
Requirements
  • Full manual UK driving license
  • Committed to patient care and able to build rapport with patients
  • Effective communicator with experience in emotional and difficult circumstances
  • Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than six penalty points on your license
  • Natural flair for team working and collaboration
  • Physically fit for patient handling and restraint
