Occupational Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Specialist to join our team in Northumberland.
Job Overview:This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site for 6 months as an Inside IR35 Contract position, supporting a pharmaceutical client.
Key Responsibilities:
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside safety, health, and environment (SHE), manufacturing operations, engineering, occupational health, and HR to identify, assess, and evaluate solutions to control workplace health hazards and manage associated risk to health.
- You will undertake measurements for chemical agents, noise, vibration, thermal environment, and non-ionising radiation, interpreting results with respect to established criteria.
- You will plan and organise surveys and develop sampling strategies in accordance with established guidance and protocols.
- You will identify reasonably practicable control measures for non-complex situations.
- You will use qualitative and quantitative assessment methods for assessing exposures.
- You will ensure reports are documented and communicated to key stakeholders.
- You will evaluate risk and any need for action to prevent or reduce exposures.
- You will advise on containment solution options for exposure prevention.
- You will advise on the range of methods for exposure control.
- You will advise on appropriate selection and use of personal protective equipment.
- You will pro-actively identify opportunities for improvement in control strategies and work with key stakeholders to enhance the end user's knowledge and understanding of risk.
- You must hold an Occupational Hygienist qualification or related field.
- You must have proven experience within the pharmaceutical industry or similar.
- CMIOSH or BOSH is desirable.
- You must have proven experience in conducting hygiene assessments.
- You must have a strong understanding of workplace health hazards and control measures.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
