Job Summary:

We are recruiting for an Occupational Hygienist to support a pharmaceutical client in Northumberland. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and evaluate solutions to control workplace health hazards and manage associated risk to health.

This role requires a strong understanding of workplace health hazards and control measures, as well as proven experience within the pharmaceutical industry or similar. A qualification in occupational hygiene or related field is essential, with CMIOSH or BOSH desirable.

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards. This is a 6-month contract, working site-based hours.

Key responsibilities include undertaking measurements for chemical agents, noise, vibration, thermal environment, and non-ionising radiation, and interpreting results with respect to established criteria. The successful candidate will also plan and organise surveys, develop sampling strategies, and identify reasonably practicable control measures for non-complex situations.
