We are seeking a highly skilled Highly Specialist Psychotherapy Practitioner to join our Mental Health and Wellness Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments and treatments to individuals with complex emotional needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist psychodynamic assessments and treatments to service users under the care of the Mental Health and Wellness Team.
  • Collaborate with other psychology services to ensure a seamless pathway for service-users and their families.
  • Develop and implement high standards of clinical care, ensuring the service provided is needs-led and compliant with national guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the multidisciplinary Mental Health and Wellness team in their work and provide psychologically informed interventions.
  2. Exercise clinical responsibility for undertaking psychological assessments, treatments, and discharge planning of clients.
  3. Supervise and manage trainee psychotherapists, coordinating the teaching of psychological therapists.
  4. Participate in the development and implementation of high standards of clinical care, ensuring the service provided is needs-led and compliant with national guidance.

Person Specification:

  • Hold psychodynamic psychotherapy training to Masters level or a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology/Counselling Psychology with postdoctoral psychodynamic training.
  • Have experience working with high levels of risk and severe mental health difficulties.
  • Have demonstrated expertise in providing specialist psychodynamic assessments and clinical supervision.
  • Exhibit knowledge and understanding of working with diverse ethnic, economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Salary: £44,688 - £62,549 per annum.
