Highly Experienced Oncology Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Oncology Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology, providing expert clinical care to patients with complex cancer needs. You will be responsible for coordinating care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and developing referral guidelines and policies.
You will have a strong background in cancer or acute care, with a minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above). Your expertise in service development and implementation of change will be essential in driving improvements in patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Work autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Undertake a variety of clinical skills and provide treatment/advice as per the acute oncology guidelines and scope of practice.
- Utilise scope of practice to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing role and provide advice on medicine management issues associated with the patient specialty group.
- Lead in the development and updating of referral guidelines and policies for the service.
- Manage and escalate medical emergencies appropriately.
- Complete episodes of care which may include referral for further assessment, treatment, and care appropriately.

As a valued member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £55,000-£62,500 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to excellent training and development opportunities, as well as a supportive and collaborative working environment.
