About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medicine and Oncology Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to take on a leadership role in our acute oncology service.

Job Description

This Band 7 position involves working autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology, participating in multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings. You will be responsible for undertaking various clinical skills, providing treatment and advice in accordance with acute oncology guidelines and scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously as an advanced practitioner within acute oncology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Undertake various clinical skills and provide treatment/advice as per the acute oncology guidelines and scope of practice.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in cancer or acute care. You should also have experience in service development and implementation of change.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
