We are recruiting for a highly skilled pharmacist to fill a Band 6 Foundation Pharmacist position at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Banbury. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a newly qualified pharmacist or someone looking to advance their career in hospital pharmacy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care through the application of pharmaceutical knowledge and skills. They will rotate through various clinical settings, including medical, surgical, and paediatric specialties, to gain valuable experience and build confidence in their abilities.

Person SpecificationEssential Criteria
  • Masters Degree (4 year MPharm or equivalent) in Pharmacy.
  • Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council before starting in post.
  • Application of pharmacy knowledge to benefit patient care.
  • Medication reconciliation at transfer of care.
  • Working with other healthcare professionals.
  • Service improvement.
  • Patient consultations.
  • Organised and methodical approach.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to all sites using public transport.
  • Acts in accordance with the Trust values.
  • Adaptable and resilient.
  • Professionalism at all times.
Desirable Criteria
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
  • Member of relevant professional group such as UKCPA.
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical pharmacy.
  • Hospital experience.
  • Audit/Quality improvement.
  • Electronic prescribing systems.
  • Prioritisation.
  • Leadership.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum. We offer a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
