Austin Fraser is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our prestigious business on a full-time, permanent basis in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. As an essential member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of accounting and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Use Sage 50 Cloud accounts for bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
  2. Reconcile company client bank accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
  3. Submit VAT returns online and maintain up-to-date financial statements.
  4. Manage clients' cheque and cash banking, including Direct Debit collections and new payment records.
  5. Handle company sales and purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  6. Undertake other general commercial activities as required by the business.

To excel in this role, you should possess experience with Sage 50 Cloud accounts or similar accounting software, a solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, and the ability to complete VAT returns and interpret financial statements.
