We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our esteemed business on a full-time, permanent basis in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for various accounting and administrative tasks, leveraging your skills in Sage 50 Cloud accounts and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage clients' financial records, including bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Process sales and purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle Direct Debit collections and create new payment records.
  • Contribute to the overall financial health of the business through sound accounting practices.

To succeed in this role, you should possess experience with Sage 50 Cloud accounts or similar accounting software, a solid grasp of bookkeeping and accounting concepts, and the ability to interpret financial statements.
