Job Summary:
JB Recycling is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, networking, and building relationships to expand our customer base.

The successful candidate will have experience in the waste industry or a similar sector, with a strong track record of business development and sales growth. You will work closely with our Sales & Marketing Manager to drive new opportunities and contribute to our overall sales strategy.

About the Role:
This is a field-based role, requiring you to spend most of your time on the road meeting clients and prospects. You will also be required to spend one day per week in our Regional office in Hartlepool. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with potential clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and cold outreach.
* Respond to and manage leads/enquiries forwarded by our Client Relationship and Sales & Marketing Manager.
* Tender Collaboration: Work closely with our Sales & Marketing Manager to develop and submit tenders for contracts up to £100k, ensuring competitive and compelling proposals.
* Develop ability for tender writing with aim of being responsible for the writing and submission of smaller tenders as directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager when appropriate.
* Client Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and aligning our services to meet them.
* Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities, and provide insights to our sales and marketing teams.

What We Offer:
* Basic salary of £35,000
* OTE over £41,000 with uncapped commission (unlimited earning potential)
