Mathematical Modeller and Simulation Specialist

This role plays a crucial part in the team, responsible for developing mathematical models and advanced algorithms to enhance car performance.
- To succeed, you will identify areas of strength and weakness, guiding both car design and trackside operations for improvement.
- You will be responsible for maintaining a strong understanding of vehicle dynamics theory, simulation workflows, software development techniques, and modern racing car design/architecture.
In collaboration with Vehicle Performance and Dynamics Engineers, you will develop modelling tools and techniques that facilitate assessment of new concepts in line with performance objectives. You will also conduct research to explore alternative approaches to physics modelling and analysis, proposing novel mathematical or computing methods to balance competing requirements such as accuracy and solve time.
This position requires a minimum BSc in Mathematics, Computational Mechanics, or another STEM subject, preferably accompanied by an MSc/PhD. A robust technical background in applied mathematics, physics, or engineering is essential, ideally focused on automotive/aeronautical/racing applications.
As a critical member of the team, you must possess quick decision-making skills, a positive approach, and the ability to work well under pressure while retaining a methodical approach. Occasional domestic & international travel may be required, along with flexibility to work long hours including weekends.

- An object-oriented simulation code base, such as C# or C/C++
- Visual Studio, .NET, Source Control (Git), Azure DevOps
- Microsoft 365/OneDrive
The estimated salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
