Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the management and coordination of the hospital adult safeguarding response, working closely with the team and adult safeguarding lead.
- Support wards and departments in identifying and responding to concerns around patient care and treatment, ensuring that patients receive adequate support and are kept safe.
- Deliver training to staff on adult safeguarding, MCA, and DoLs, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Contribute to learning and strategic development within the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to address organisational issues.
- Assess patients under the MCA 2005, with training available for the BIA role for those who are not yet qualified.
- Current registration with a regulatory body within health and social care.
- Qualified BIA or willingness to undertake.
- Masters level degree or equivalent experience.
- Post-registration experience, including relevant safeguarding experience within the NHS/LA or other setting.
- Demonstrable understanding of the role of safeguarding practitioner.
