Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality adult safeguarding services.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the management and coordination of the hospital adult safeguarding response, working closely with the team and adult safeguarding lead.
- Support wards and departments in identifying and responding to concerns around hospital care and treatment, ensuring patients receive adequate support and are kept safe.
- Respond to concerns and incidents, providing expert advice and guidance on adult safeguarding best practices.
- Deliver training and education to staff on adult safeguarding, MCA, and DoLs, promoting a culture of safeguarding excellence.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies, ensuring adult safeguarding is integrated into all aspects of care.
- Assess and manage complex safeguarding cases, working autonomously and making independent decisions.
- Current registration with a regulatory body within health and social care.
- Qualified BIA or willingness to undertake.
- Masters-level degree or equivalent experience.
- Post-registration experience, including relevant safeguarding experience within the NHS or other setting.
- Demonstrable understanding of the role of safeguarding practitioner.
