Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Safeguarding team at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a Safeguarding Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing safeguarding adults advice, training, support, and coordination to our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management and coordination of the hospital adult safeguarding response with the organisation, working closely with the team and adult safeguarding lead.
- Support wards and departments to facilitate safe discharge and ensure patients receive adequate support, responding to concerns around hospital care and treatment where adult safeguarding input may be required.
- Deliver training to staff on adult safeguarding, MCA, and DoLs, and contribute to learning and strategic development within the organisation.
- Assess patients under the MCA 2005, with training available for the BIA role if not already qualified.
Requirements
- Current registration with a regulatory body within health and social care.
- Qualified BIA or willingness to undertake.
- Masters-level degree or equivalent experience.
