About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Distressed Loan Settlement Vice President at Barclays Bank UK PLC. This is an exciting opportunity to support our Wholesale Lending business with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Wholesale Lending team with day-to-day operations, including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor lending operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Develop and implement procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to implement best practices in Wholesale Lending Services.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness.
Vice President Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience with loan settlement in secondary markets.
  • Knowledge of Loan IQ.
  • Stakeholder management skills.

  • Loan closing expertise.
  • Process improvement skills.
