Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to drive the development of skilled, educated, and inclusive NHS workforce to support providers in meeting the evolving needs of the Armed Forces community.

As an NHS Training Specialist, you will lead the training team and be responsible for delivering high-quality training products that ensure every member of the Armed Forces community who enters the NHS is understood.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing training materials aligned with equality, diversity, and inclusion guidance and best practice
  • Engaging with public and patient voice groups to ensure training meets current needs of the Armed Forces community
  • Supporting Integrated Care Systems (ICS) and NHS Trusts to develop health needs assessments and improve service provision
  • Creating standardised Armed Forces awareness training products for executive and operational levels
  • Producing and delivering a Train the Trainer package and refresher training cycle
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience acquired through formal qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a health, social care, welfare, or service delivery environment
  • Developing training products and evidence of post-qualifying and/or continuing professional development
