Specialist Physiotherapist – Camhs In-Patient

This is a permanent, part-time post of 11.1 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Tuesday (8.30-16.30) and Wednesday (8.30-12).Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 0.3 wte (1.5days) Specialist Physiotherapist CAMHS in-patient post within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) based within Ward 4 in The Royal Hospital for Children.
This is a driven and dynamic team who are keen to stay up to date with all local and national strategies engaging with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for all.As an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist you will demonstrate in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical governance issues including risk management, evidence based theory and practice, audit and research methodology.
You will use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist assessment and evidence based treatment of paediatric conditions within the CAMHS In-patient wards.You will provide specialist advice and training to the MDT and nursing team, around prevention, management and intervention.
You will provide specialist physiotherapy management and intervention to children and young people who have Psychiatric Illness, possibly in conjunction with neurological, genetic or orthopaedic conditions, in the CAMHS Inpatient unit.You will be expected to assist the Professional Lead Physiotherapist and Service Manager in planning, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service for children and young people within this specialist area.You will initiate where appropriate service developments within In- patient CAMHS Ward setting, contribute to the efficiency of the service by ensuring that effective evidence based and innovative clinical services are delivered, supporting specific changes to clinical practice and service protocol.
Provide advice and guidance on health promotion, health management and prevention strategies to patients, carers and other HealthCare staff.There will be training and mentoring offered.
It is essential that you have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC.
You are expected to be working towards masters level post graduate qualifications.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
