Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is currently seeking a highly skilled Band 7 Specialist Practitioner to take on a new locum opportunity within the Learning Disabilities team based in Hillingdon.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive specialist assessments, including risk assessments of children and young people with mental health problems or challenging behaviours. They will also be responsible for implementing positive behaviour plans and interventions in partnership with other agencies.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mental Health Nursing and valid NMC Registration. Previous experience in CAMHS or Adult Services for autism/Learning Disability is essential, along with clear evidence of transferable skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive specialist assessments, including risk assessments of children and young people with mental health problems or challenging behaviours.
  • Implement positive behaviour plans and interventions in partnership with other agencies.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
  • Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Valid NMC Registration.
  • Previous experience in CAMHS or Adult Services for autism/Learning Disability.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £31.80 per hour (assignment rate), making it an attractive option for experienced practitioners looking for a new challenge.
