Job Description

Become a key member of the Canadian Armed Forces as a Construction Engineering Officer, supporting the operations of the Royal Canadian Air Force and Canadian Army. As a Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing projects involving various military engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Prepare or approve construction drawings, designs, and cost estimates.
  • Engineering Support: Advise superiors on military engineering matters.
  • Leadership: Exercise leadership and technical control over organizations involved in engineering services.
  • Mapping and Geodesic Support: Provide mapping, charting, and geodesic support to sea, land, and air operations.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of skilled personnel.
Work Environment:

Construction Engineers work as part of a Construction Engineering Flight or Unit. You may be posted to a Canadian Armed Forces base or headquarters, with opportunities for deployment on domestic or international missions, including operations in support of UN, NATO, or Coalition missions.

Requirements:

To become a Construction Engineering Officer, you will need to complete basic training and military officer qualification training, and may be eligible for direct entry into an on-the-job training program if you already have a university degree.
