Armed Forces Community Liaison

As a Community Connection Champion RAF Saint Mawgan with SAAFA - The Armed Forces Charity - Volunteer Roles, you will play a vital role in connecting serving personnel and their families with their local communities. This dynamic position involves developing and delivering engaging activities that promote social connections and a sense of belonging.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement group activities that cater to the diverse needs of the local serving community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local SSAFA volunteers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Provide support and encouragement to community members who face barriers to participation.
- Deliver group activities that align with SSAFA's safeguarding policy and procedures.
- Contribute to the SSAFA Project Team by sharing activity plans, tracking attendance, and encouraging attendees to complete relevant paperwork.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
