Child Care Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Officer to join our team at Kings Mill School & Residence. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support and care to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with the care team and other professionals.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Engage in activities that promote socialization, education, and personal development.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties.
- Competency in writing reports and compiling information.
- An in-depth induction program and regular supervision.
