An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 3 dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join a well established team working as a Trainee CBT therapist across the Hull and East Riding CORE CAMHS Service. (2 x Rivendell House, Driffield Base, 1 x Westend, Hessle base).

We are a busy children and young peoples mental health team with a strong emphasis on IAPT and its principles. We work closely with our partner IAPT providers in the community. Main duties of the job

In this role, you will provide High Intensity CBT interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training which commences in January 2025 (start date to be confirmed) in collaboration with Northumbria University; the post is full time hours. This training post will equip you to provide a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) service to young people with a range of common mental health problems within the East Riding and Hull CORE CAMHS service, for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will attend taught and self-study days provided by Northumbria University , days to be confirmed. For the remainder of the week you will work within the CORE CAMHS team fulfilling the service based aspect of the training programme. On successful completion of the course you will be expected to seek accreditation with the BABCP.

This role is fixed term for 12 months, with potential to being promoted to a qualified High Intensity Therapist position on a permanent contract (subject to successful completion of the course)

Candidates must have a first degree (2:2 or above) in order to be considered. Candidates from a CWP background must have been qualified and practising as a PWP for at least two years at the start date of the course (from the date of the qualifying exam board) in order to meet national expectations, with a completed KSA portfolio with completed statements included for all sections Candidates from a core profession background must have at least two years post-qualification experience at the start date of the course. Candidates are unable to progress through the recruitment process if they are already registered on a Health Education England (HEE) funded programme Candidates must either meet one of the following BABCP core mental health profession requirements OR complete a KSA Arts Therapists - HCPC Registered Counselling - Accreditation with the BACP, IACP, COSCA, or FDAP (NCAC) - Registration with these organisations isn't sufficient Medicine - Psychiatrist or General Practitioner, MBChB or MBBS, and usually PG training with membership of MRCGP, MRCP or MRCPsych Occupational Therapy - BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy, or Dip and HCPC Registered Psychotherapy/ Psychotherapeutic Counselling - UKCP Registration Registered Nurse - Mental Health (RMN), or Learning Disability (General Nursing and Enrolled Nursing is insufficient) Social Work - CQSW, DipSW, MA Social Work, or BA/BSc Hons Social Work.
