Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 3 dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join a well established team working as a Trainee CBT therapist across the Hull and East Riding CORE CAMHS Service.
(2 x Rivendell House, Driffield Base, 1 x Westend, Hessle base).

Main duties of the job In this role, you will provide High Intensity CBT interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training which commences in January 2025 (start date to be confirmed) in collaboration with Northumbria University; the post is full time hours.
This training post will equip you to provide a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) service to young people with a range of common mental health problems within the East Riding and Hull CORE CAMHS service, for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
You will attend taught and self-study days provided by Northumbria University , days to be confirmed.
For the remainder of the week you will work within the CORE CAMHS team fulfilling the service based aspect of the training programme.
On successful completion of the course you will be expected to seek accreditation with the BABCP.This role is fixed term for 12 months, with potential to being promoted to a qualified High Intensity Therapist position on a permanent contract (subject to successful completion of the course) About us We are an award winning and CQC rated good health and social care Trust delivering integrated services across Hull, East and North Yorkshire.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion, Child Protection Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area Ability to evaluate and put in place the effect of training Demonstrate specialist understanding of mental health difficulties and how it may impact children and young people Demonstrate specialist knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health Basic IT skills personal attributes Essential Effective inter-personal skills and experience in mentoring Able to demonstrate effective communication skills Ability to work positively within a team The ability to be resilient and maintain one's own wellbeing whilst working in stressful situations, managing a high volume caseload and completing a training programme Work within the culture of improving working lives and working time directive Good time management skills Desirable Ability to lead and motivate staff to embrace change Broad knowledge of Trust policies and procedures in order to effectively lead and manage others Effort and Enviroment Essential Ability to commute between the various sites Requirement for frequent concentration assessments, care plans.
The work may be unpredictable Ability to complete the academic components of the course.
Ability to attend the training days Frequent exposure to emotional or distressing circumstances Some exposure to hazards verbal aggression, bodily fluids Experience Essential Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services, a minimum of 2 years' experience Experience of providing evidence based psychological interventions Experience with routine outcome monitoring Experience of teaching and liaising with other professionals Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist/advanced level of care Evidence of development of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development Desirable Development of advance/expert level of practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development Experience of working in Primary Care Services Experience of working in a service where agreed targets are in place & demonstrating clinical outcomes Professional networking locally Ability to effectively Chair meetings Qualifications Essential Candidates must have a first degree (2:2 or above) in order to be considered.
Candidates from a CWP background must have been qualified and practising as a PWP for at least two years at the start date of the course (from the date of the qualifying exam board) in order to meet national expectations, with a completed KSA portfolio with completed statements included for all sections Candidates from a core profession background must have at least two years post-qualification experience at the start date of the course.
Candidates are unable to progress through the recruitment process if they are already registered on a Health Education England (HEE) funded programme Candidates must either meet one of the following BABCP core mental health profession requirements OR complete a KSA Arts Therapists - HCPC Registered Counselling - Accreditation with the BACP, IACP, COSCA, or FDAP (NCAC) - Registration with these organisations isn't sufficient Medicine - Psychiatrist or General Practitioner, MBChB or MBBS, and usually PG training with membership of MRCGP, MRCP or MRCPsych Occupational Therapy - BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy, MSc Occupational Therapy, or Dip and HCPC Registered Psychotherapy/ Psychotherapeutic Counselling - UKCP Registration Registered Nurse - Mental Health (RMN), or Learning Disability (General Nursing and Enrolled Nursing is insufficient) Social Work - CQSW, DipSW, MA Social Work, or BA/BSc Hons Social Work.
Registered with one of Humbernhsft four UK regulators - Social Work England (SWE), Social Care Wales (SCW), Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology - accredited by the British Psychological Society and HCPC Registered as Practitioner Psychologist Educational Psychology - Doctorate or QEPS - must have BPS Chartership (CPsychol) and HCPC Registration as Practitioner Psychologist Health Psychology - QHP stage 2 - must have BPS Chartership (CPsychol) and HCPC Registration as Practitioner Psychologist Forensic Psychology - QFP stage 2 - must have BPS Chartership (CPsychol) and HCPC Registration as Practitioner Psychologist
