About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curriculum Leader to join our team at Newcastle College. As a key member of our curriculum team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Digital Technologies curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement high-quality curriculum plans that align with College key performance indicators and industry standards.
  2. Leadership and Management: Lead a team of educators and support staff to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum and high levels of learner engagement.
  3. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance learner outcomes.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues across the College to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum and effective communication with stakeholders.
  5. Professional Development: Support the professional development of educators and support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a related subject area.
  • Qualified teacher status.
  • Evidence of relevant updating/CPD.
  • Management qualification.
  • Experience of effective people and performance management.
  • Experience of change management and or implementing new initiatives.
  • Experience of building relationships with a range of internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience of deploying learning technologies, tracking processes and use of college monitoring systems to support learners to achieve and progress.
  • Experience of curriculum design and innovation, planning, delivering, and assessing.
  • Experience and evidence of improving learner success and progression within education against Ofsted common inspection framework and or HE Quality Code.
  • Experience in Digital Technologies.
