Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development and Leadership
    • Support the Head of Curriculum in the development and implementation of curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with College key performance indicators.
    • Lead the management of curriculum areas, including curriculum planning, development, and delivery.
  • Line Management and Performance Monitoring
    • Line manage direct reports, including programme leaders, lecturers, instructors, and technicians, ensuring effective communication and high levels of performance.
    • Monitor provision against key performance indicators and benchmarks, implementing improvement plans where necessary.
  • Quality Enhancement and Assurance
    • Support the Head of Curriculum in liaising with the central Quality unit in all aspects of quality enhancement and self-assessment processes.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with College and regulatory requirements.
  • Recruitment and Staff Management
    • Contribute to HR processes, including recruitment and performance management of staff.
    • Support the implementation of staff development and training programs, ensuring the continuous improvement of staff skills and knowledge.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Manage Digital Apprenticeships and Higher Education Programs, ensuring high levels of performance and compliance with College and regulatory requirements.
    • Build and maintain relationships with employers, stakeholders, and other external partners, ensuring the College's reputation and interests are represented.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a related subject area.
    • Qualified teacher status.
    • Evidence of relevant updating/CPD.
    • Management qualification.

    • Experience of effective people and performance management.
    • Experience of change management and implementing new initiatives.
    • Experience of building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
