**What you will be doing**
- Maintain OOFs at 5%
- Tutors OTLA grade profile matches with the aspirations of the business goals (minimum grade 2)
- Ensure all tutor’s complete reviews between 10-12 weeks with learners for apprenticeships and 4 weeks for loans.
- Identify and address the learning and development needs of tutors including realistic target dates for the achievements of CAVA/AET qualifications for unqualified assessors. Whilst ensuring they receive:
- An appropriate level of induction
- Bi-annual Performance Review and Development Plan
- CPD opportunities
- Conducting on a bi-monthly basis, effective performance reviews with each member of the team, to ensure that planned achievements are fulfilled, and relevant software is updated for reporting and monitoring purposes. (new tutors to have probationary 121s as needed until probationary period is over)
- Ensure all learners are engaging in learning every 4 weeks and this is being monitored clearly in review processes and tutor 1-1’s.
- Tutor IQA rating is in line with Business Goals. (Goal for all Tutors to be rated Green, with anyone on Red to have a support action plan in place).
- Always maintain awarding body compliance, in line with centre procedures for examinations and assessment.
- Take responsibility for all areas of under-performance with individual tutors, ensuring that an appropriate action plan is devised and implemented.
- Achievement of the stipulated targets which include:
- QAR
- Timely Completions
- Low risk audit
- Ofsted grade 2 - working towards a grade 1
- Responsible for effective caseload management, working closely with the compliance and enrolments team, to effectively allocate new signups across the team.
- Ensure staff work in line with company values.
- Assist in the annual development of the SAR and QIP and the ongoing updating of any related actions.
- Increase the portfolio of the company by assisting in the marketing of all areas of the business.
- Ensure implementation of Company policies and relevant legislation.
- Contribute and maintain delivery via software packages such as Onefile and MS Systems.
- To manage diaries via Outlook, keeping this up to date and visible.
- Responsible for the Safeguarding of learners and ensuring any Safeguarding incidents are reported to the Safeguarding committee and Prevent agenda is supported.
- Actively promote Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values, working closely with the Quality Manager to embed hot topics across the delivery.
- Maintain own caseloads at viable levels according to role and business needs - approximately 25 learners.
- Support, liaise and maintain key stakeholder relationships internal and external in line with Business goals.
- To be the relevant awarding body programme director, or key contact/expert.
- To offer pastoral care to tutors and signpost/refer when needed
- Manage the creation and maintenance of Schemes of Work and Lesson Plans, Delivery resources, in conjunction with employers and tutors, successfully rolling out any changes to the team.
- Ensuring the team are embedding Functional Skills into their teaching and assessment practice.
- All paperwork is completed in-line with requirements e.g., Sign-ups, Health & Safety Pre-vets etc. Follow-up action is also followed up e.g., Employer Liability Insurance, annual Health & Safety pre-vets. Also ensuring the team are meeting these requirements.
- Support and contribute to all inspections and audits, ensuring the team are well prepared.
**Essential Experience**
- Experience of writing and designing curriculum
- Managing a team of people or development in this area
- Sound understanding of OFSTED
**Essential Qualifications**
- Level 5 or above sector specific qualification as required.
- Functional Skills in English and maths at level 2
- Membership of the relevant sector
- CAVA essential
- IQA L4 - achieved or working towards
