Job Summary
Scottish Autism is seeking a skilled Autism Practitioner to join our team at the Thistle Service in Maryhill, Glasgow. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide support to individuals with autism, promoting their independence and well-being
• Develop and implement personalized programs of support, incorporating consistency and structure specific to each individual's needs
• Collaborate with the team to provide coaching, training, and support to ensure high-quality care
• Utilize observation skills and resilience to create a safe and supportive environment
Requirements
• Experience of working within social care is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work flexibly, including sleepovers and varied shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to promoting the rights and dignity of individuals with autism
