We are seeking a talented School Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in improving access to high-quality mental health support within educational settings.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have experience delivering therapeutic interventions like CBT or solution-focused brief therapy to children and families. You will also possess knowledge of safeguarding, capacity, and consent, including Gillick competence.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 27 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 32 days over time (pro rata), and enhanced sick pay.

Main Duties

  • Assess and deliver tailored interventions directly in schools while collaborating with children, young people, families, and educational staff.
  • Provide guidance and signposting to help schools build a robust Whole School Approach to mental health.
  • Ability to conduct mental health assessments of children and young people.

Requirements

  • Be a suitably qualified CYP Mental Health practitioner, for example, Qualified EMHP, CYP IAPT Qualification, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Ability to teach others about mental health issues.
  • Proven commitment to continuous professional development.
