Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people? As an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner, you'll play a key role in our Mental Health Support Team (MHST), collaborating with schools and education settings to deliver innovative interventions.

Working with children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs, you'll help them develop the tools and confidence to thrive. Building strong relationships with schools, families, and partner agencies will be essential, as will maintaining accurate records to support effective decision-making.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a passionate individual with a strong foundation in mental health and emotional wellbeing support. You'll hold a BTEC higher diploma or foundation degree in a relevant field, with at least one year of post-qualification experience working with children, young people, and families.

  • Knowledge of child development, behaviours, and mental health challenges is essential.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding legislation, confidentiality, consent, mental capacity, and data protection guidelines is necessary.
  • Confident delivery of mental health advice and engaging diverse audiences with excellent communication skills is crucial.
  • Highly organised, computer-literate, and able to thrive in dynamic environments, you embody our core values of integrity, respect, reliability, and a solution-focused approach.

The salary for this position is approximately £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
